Your 10 day Tofo Dive Holiday starts in Johannesburg, South Africa, where you will catch a flight to Inhambane, Mozambique. From you will get a road transfer to Praia do Tofo, or in short, Tofo. Your stay includes 9 nights at a luxury lodge which includes breakfast. You can expect to be centrally located so that activities, restaurants and more is all within walking distance.

Your holiday includes 1 dedicated whale shark safari however you can look forward to also spotting and swimming with them in-between your double tank dives. Whale Sharks are gentle, fun-loving species that pose no threat to humans and are known to be friendly with divers. This massive shark moves very slow and is the largest extant fish species today. They feed on plankton – which is microscopic plants and animals.

Included is also 10 scuba dives which cater for both beginner and experienced divers. Dive the many pristine reefs of Tofo such as Giants Castle, Table Top, The Office, Chamber of Secrets and more.

A Mega Marine species to look out for on scuba is the Manta Ray. Praia do Tofo is well known for excellent Manta Ray experiences. Manta Rays here reach a wingspan of up to 6 meters! This docile species is friendly and can be seen swooping down on cleaning stations on several reefs in the area.

Day 1 – Flight to and transfer to Praia do Tofo, Mozambique
Today you will take an early morning flight from Johannesburg to Inhambane. Mozambique. At the Inhambane airport, your driver will wait for you at arrivals and transfer you to Praia do Tofo which is the diving village nearby. Check-in at your luxury B&B accommodation. This package includes accommodation which is an on-suite room within a B&8 with ocean views. Your room comes with a fan and mosquito net.

Day 2 to 8 – Diving Praia do Tofo
Whilst staying at Tofo you have 10 dives and 1 whale shark safari included. During the interval of the double tank scuba dives, you will also be looking for whale sharks. On many occasions, we have a bonus whale shark snorkel opportunity on the way to or after the dive site. The doling in Tofo is good in general. Manta Reef offers an estimated 80% success rate of seeing mantas whilst the marine life on this reef is still exceptional. Day 9 – Dedicated Whale Shark Safari
Today is your chance to focus on one thing swimming with a giant whale shark. Enjoy 2 hours that is dedicated to locating and then swimming with the gentle giants. In season it only takes a few minutes before you get into the water with your first whale shark. You can expect to swim with several whale sharks per safari when visiting the right time of year. August to March is normally an excellent time to come although Whale Sharks are seen all year round in Tofo.

Day 10 – Fly back to Johannesburg

Today your driver will take you back to the Inhambane airport where you will enjoy the short flight to Johannesburg South Africa, where your package ends.
