Bassas da India Live Aboards |
11 Days Bassas da India
 |
The atoll lies in French waters and is heavily guarded by a naval vessel patrolling for unauthorised boats. The reason for this is the 100 plus shipwrecks of which many still contain artifacts and treasure.
The atoll is also home to a variety of shark species ranging from the Oceanic White tip to the odd passing Great White shark. Large schools of game fish and Hammerheads are not uncommon for Bassas.
Many boats try to dive Bassas only to get chased away by the French navy a day or two after anchoring. Scuba Mozambique is the only live aboard that applies for the proper dive and boat permits so you can rest assured that when booking with Scuba Mozambique you will be able to take full advantage of your trip to Bassas da India.
